I'll pray to Christ when the storms come.
Those who put their trust in Mary are going to be sorely disappointed one day. While they give secondary lip service to Jesus it's obvious that Mary takes center stage and primary importance to them.
Indeed. As with Israel wanting a king, so the lost look to mortals whom they exalt above that which is written, even to attributing uniquely Divine attributes, as they know not Christ, or little of him, who alone is set forth as the only heavenly intercessor btwn man and God, and the only heavenly intercessor to whom believers are only exhorted to come, and who is immediately accessible and all sufficient savior.
And by Him believers have direct access into the holy of holies in glory (now if i would take more advantage of that).
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (1 Timothy 2:5-6)
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. (Hebrews 2:17-18)
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:15-16)
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19-22)
Blessed be God.
Were is any of this said of a queen of Heaven, or a distinct class of "saints" in Heaven? Where is there even one prayer or offerings to anyone else in Heaven but the Lord - except by pagans - amid the approx. 200 (my count) prayers in Scripture ?
The answer is that it is not, but the veracity of this rests upon the fallacious premise of perpetual magisterial Romish infallibility, which also is an invention not promised, seen or necessary in Scripture. Among other inventions or distortions.
Duh. That is how usually mothers are in relation to their babies.
I aim to please:
Holy Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us and pray for Christian unity.
In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
