“JUST CONTINUOUSLY DOING WHAT HE COMMANDED US TO DO “
Well, of course you believe that. You are catholic. We also believe we are doing what He commanded - “Do this in memory of Me until I return.”
As to gathering for fellowship, I showed you that God recorded that the earliest church did it. I sure wouldn’t let a discussion of proper grammer carry more weight than what God recorded for Christians. Clearly they were doing more than the Lord’s Supper.
Best
thanks
you do see the difference between us
the chasm is wide and deep
my first taste of the protestant idea of “fellowship” happened when I donated blood at a Lutheran Church on a Sunday morning.
it was a long wait and essential sat through an entire Lutheran service while waiting.
I was surprised at how many things that Lutherans had that were quite close to a Catholic Mass, until the announcements started after their service was through.
the lector? spent more time announcing room numbers and changes to room number for all the fellowship meeting that were occurring immediately after...more time than time he spent reading that Sundays scripture readings.
Point of Justim Martyr’s quote is that they were doing in 155AD exactly what we do today.
