Especially when both belief systems cherish the combining of church and state. This whole idea of blending church and state is about as wholesome as blending Pagan EnvironMentalism with fervent GovernMentalism. It’s an anathema to the founding principle of Americanism IMO!!!You do realize, don't you, that the government set up by G-d in ancient Biblical Israel also blended religion and state? In fact all religions did until the "enlightenment."
Yes, that's true, but throughout history the controversy has been that either the Almighty has become unhappy with human government, or vice versa.
Personally, I believe that "G-d" is still in charge no matter what!!!
