I will tell you the big one. I won’t argue about it, though. I am no longer a member of that particular denomination, plus I just don’t like to argue doctrine.
But in a nutshell, the church I was raised in taught that you couldn’t be saved without baptism/immersion. Going forward for an altar call and praying the sinner’s prayer was just a manmade substitute for God’s plan.
So why Billy Graham was so profoundly respected among the members of that denomination...I still don’t know. But he was. Some things/people supersede even the most rigidly held doctrines, one must suppose.
