I watched a tv show about those books. Tests have proved they were written centuries after the rest of the Bible. They did not belong in the Bible. I have done research on them too and every site said the same thing. They were not written when people thought they were. Not fake but not in the right time period. I believed most were written in the 3rd century. They should have been removed.

Those books that Catholics like to claim Luther removed from the Bible, were 1) not removed by him at all, and 2) were not considered part of the canon by the Catholic church until the Council of Trent, which occurred AFTER Luther translated Scripture.

The Catholic church ADDED those books to the canon of the Bible some 1500 years after they claim the Catholic church was founded.

So he was not, not recognizing as Scripture something that the Catholic church did recognize as Scripture.

Boatbums is forever correcting that error that keeps getting posted by Catholics, interestingly, the same Catholics she keeps correcting who keep posting the same error over and over again. Like they never saw it the first dozen times or so.

Protestants did remove them.....under what authority I have no idea, but you can still read them if you buy a real Bible.
