Paul did not instruct Timothy to divide the word of God!
He told him to divide the word of truth from the words of falsehood.
That was the subject of the letter. Certain men were preaching falsehood.
The word of God is one word, and is not to be divided in any way.

Being “God’s children” is not the same as “becoming sons of God.” The becoming is yet future. Sons of God are each special creations, and immortal.

Those were men in the sixth earth age. Jesus went into prison to save any that would accept Him and saved many. Those that failed to live by the law given to Moses, which was about everyone, were in prison too and had that opportunity also and many were saved.
