Most non-Catholic faith communities have arisen through the nailing of theses to the door of one church and the founding of another. A mini-reformation, if you will. That's Protestantism in its essence, irrespective of whether the church door was Catholic or not.

Historically, many Christians over the centuries have fled for their lives from edicts of the RCC. Some of us suspect this could come about again.
