Don’t watch him, for one. I do believe that if one is prosperous one can do more for others, but that shouldn’t be the main goal of life.

"Prosperity Gospel" is exactly what it is.
It is ersatz Christianity, if it is Christianity at all. I doubt that the Apostles would even recognize it.
