I know what the First Commandment is. It does not say,
"The answer is read the Bible for yourself, and throw man’s doctrine and nonsense away. God says “have no other God’s before me’ and if your Church doctrine leads you, then God isn’t...his inspired instruction is in the Bible" On the contrary, it's "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." (LINK)
It doesn't say a word about the development of doctrine via the Holy Spirit teaching through His Church.
