I can’t respond to this without being unChristian and necessarily snarky.
Go in peace DJ.
We shall agree to disagree and part friends. :-)
You shouldn’t waste your energy arguing with a “progressive” twit.
Let me ask....does your “nuconvert” screen name mean that you’re a new convert to the Muslim faith? You seem so offended by what this woman, who stood up for Christianity, did that it makes me wonder if you don’t follow the child molesting head of the wretched islamic faith.
Of course. I do agree with you regarding the other matter here though.
Didn’t argue, although he is a progressive twit. haha
“Let me ask....does your nuconvert screen name mean that youre a new convert to the Muslim faith?”
Nope. Nothing to do with religion.
The internet is a double edged sword. In person we could have a good discussion. On “paper”? Not so much. :-)
Yup. I understood that. :-)
Are you suggesting she should have overturned tables, as Jesus did? Matthew 21:12.
In V. 13 He explains His reason. How much more angry might He have been if they had been using His Father’s House to worship a demon god?
Keep reading. When you get to V. 15-16, see if you don’t recognize something within yourself.
Why did Jesus, by then well along in his ministry, not devise a specifically Christian prayer when he taught “Our Father”, rather than use a well established Hebrew formulary of the Amidah? It’s certainly more universal in scope as structured.
“Are you suggesting she should have overturned tables, as Jesus did?”
Nope. I’m suggesting she should have gotten a group together and protested outside.
Compare the structure “Lord’s Prayer” with the 10 Commandments.
I think this should also be in News/Activism.
You are muslim, correct?
Addendum, Christ did indeed say (Matt 5:17) “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”
He fulfilled the Law FOR YOU because you can’t.
I am not, never have been
I’m comparing her to St. Stephen. As for the Muslim’s notions of Jesus, they have an obscene legend about the Second Coming, where Jesus makes an appearance to deny his own divinity and to praise Mohammed. “Twelfth Iman” or some such rot.

Since the Temple officials allowed the money changers in the Temple nuconvert would have likely condemned Jesus’ actions.
Now THAT’S “progressive!”
“Jews believe in the same God as the Christians, they just dont believe in Jesus Christ, an important difference, but we consider Judaism to be the root of the Christian faith. If they wanted to say a Jewish prayer Id have no problem, after all Jesus prayed some of the same prayers.”
One could say that Jesus himself was a Jew, along with Mary and Joesph and all the Disciples.
