I wouldn't recommend Alexander's book. During his NDE, he was visited by a female figure---if she was supposed to be an angel, that isn't Scriptural, since all angels in the Bible are male.
This apparition told him, "There is nothing you can do wrong", which is an open contradiction of the concepts of sin, repentance, and judgement.
If Alexander is a believer, his current job is very unsuitable. He works at the New Age Monroe Institute, which is not far from where I live. It promotes out of body experiences, channeling, and "exploring your consciousness."
No, she wasn’t an angel - but his sister, who had died before he knew about her -he was adopted. As to her statement, I think it was more like, “You are loved and there’s nothing you can do that would change that.” I do believe that. It doesn’t change the fact that we have free will and sin. I thought it was a wonderful book - and the near death experiences I have read about usually do talk about an overwhelming Love, some see Christ and some do not. But this was unique because there was no brain activity at all. To me it was very comforting, and I’m a Christian.
