I am a well-informed Catholic, but that does not make me an expert. That was my point.

I have nothing against classical music, that is his niche. He's not a theologian and neither am I. So If I wrote this article I would not expect it to be taken as authoritative.

I know you are aware that any hack can write an article and then all the Anti-Catholics come out of the word work to twist it to their pov. That's all I was saying.

My point was that Damian Thompson has been writing commentary on the Church for a long time. So, whether he is a trained theologian or not, he has established a reputation, even if only as a commentator.
