In other words, THANK the RCC for giving to the world the Holy Bible.
I've never understood this claim. The apostolic letters were written to various churches. The churches shared their letters with other churches. Why thank the RCC?
Paul's letters were available in a collected form by the end of the 1st century. This was the work of Christians. No one was waiting for the RCC to come along and put their seal of approval. The Christians were reading the words of the apostles, as commanded by the apostles.
Moses received the 10 commandments directly from God, but we don't see him taking credit for their writing or proclaiming himself as the final authority. The RCC received the books of the Bible from the various churches who received them from the apostles. The RCC didn't receive the books of the Bible directly from God or even directly from the apostles. Why thank the RCC?
You mean that book that Roman Catholicism claims is not what the church is based on? The one that they state is not needed to establish their authority or that of her doctrines? The same book that existed centuries BEFORE there even was a Roman Catholic church? That book which for centuries was forbidden to be read by the common man? Which "Bible" is it that everyone is supposed to thank you RCs for?
Almighty God saved his Own Word! I feel so sorry for you that you are so lost in a denomination that you have lost sight that God does his work through all people and doesn’t need any of US.

But of what import is this even if we entertain the fantasy that the NT church was RC? Is your argument that a being the historical instruments and stewards of Divine revelation means that such is assuredly infallible? Of not, what is the argument behind this assertion?
Moreover, Rome did not even presume to provide an indisputable canon until after Luther died , thus his dissent was not one of the charges against him, though RCs anachronistically make it one.
Boy, that church sure does seek a lot of glory for doing something that God brought about through the Holy Spirit.
