Pope Francis himself has reiterated this on several occasions. But many are not listening.

Why did Francis phone an adulteress and advise her to sneak around and find another church where she could receive Holy Communion while in a state of mortal sin?

All we know about this is what not the Pope, not the woman, but the woman's husband said, on Facebook.

YOu are so quick to condemn the pope that you would lambaste him on the basis of thirdhand hearsay? The exact contents of which neither the wife nor the pope confirmed?

Where is your care for --- if not charity --- then at least bare-bones due process? Where is your common sense in the weighing of evidence? Where is your concern for just judgment?

I hate to keep harping on Rash Judgment - Detraction - Slander, those three allied and deadly sins of the tongue (and keyboard), but there you are.
