You have not really answered my question. The Pope did not slander anyone. He spoke the truth, positive and negative about everyone...VERY much like what we read in the Scriptures. The four minute standing ovation he received for so doing was an indication of the movement of the Spirit.

The Pope smeared Cardinals Burke, Napier, and others. Without them, the extreme Left position would have prevailed, and that was the position the Pope was promoting.

There were NO “hostile” or “legalistic” Cardinals at the Synod. The Pope was smearing Burke and his allies.

The truth is not determined by standing ovations. People used to applaud Stalin until they collapsed on the floor—at which time they were dragged out and shipped off to the Gulag.
