Why would intelligent, successful people give up their careers, alienate their friends, and cause havoc in their families...to become Catholic? Indeed, why would anyone become Catholic?
As an evangelist and author who recently threw my own life into some turmoil by deciding to enter the Catholic Church, I've faced this question a lot lately. That is one reason I decided to make this documentary; it's part of my attempt to try to explain to those closest to me why I would do such a crazy thing.
Convinced isn't just about me, though. The film is built around interviews with some of the most articulate and compelling Catholic converts in our culture today, including Scott Hahn, Francis Beckwith, Taylor Marshall, Holly Ordway, Abby Johnson, Jeff Cavins, Devin Rose, Matthew Leonard, Mark Regnerus, Jason Stellman, John Bergsma, Christian Smith, Kevin Vost, David Currie, Richard Cole, and Kenneth Howell. It also contains special appearances by experts in the field of conversion such as Patrick Madrid and Donald Asci.
Ultimately, this is a story about finding truth, beauty, and fulfillment in an unexpected place, and then sacrificing to grab on to it. I think it will entertain and inspire you, and perhaps even give you a fresh perspective on an old faith.

more indepth analysis from verga!
by who??? I know many so called believers who are far from being saints....divorsed and remarried....abusers within their families, cheaters on their taxes, liars, etc.
TC, have you read the Bible lately?? Or are you messing with folks??
Do some research like I just did. All living Christians are saints. I knew one of the very best-—my late mother. Everyone who knew her said she was a saint on earth. She died in 2007, a few months before her 103rd birthday. For months before her death, she sang “Going Home.”. She was ready to see Jesus. We all miss her so very much. We never, ever heard her say anything bad about anyone. She taught us if we could not say something nice, do not say anything. She loved her Lord and Savior. We will see her again. Oh Happy Day!
Nah, the other poster is right. Catholics never admit when they are wrong on this site.
Then they are only pretenders.
The Bible was not written b Catholics.
Why do y’all “hate” God’s word so much? I am very curious. Why believe traditions over the Truth?
obscure music trivia --->J. Garcia played the pedal-steel on that one
It considered good netiquette to ping someone when you mention them in a post.
On the two occasions that I have erred I have admitted it gladly. I have yet to see a prot do.
Occasionally, some of them have.
At some fine times also, there has been some understanding & acknowledgement of what another is talking about as to the what and why of an issue, and then from there if there be differing view, explain what and how those are.
You are wrong, Catholics Love God’s word that is why we took great care to preserve it.
The difference is. Did Jesus break the law and cause others to break the law?
Leviticus 17:14 You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.
You can be flip all you want. But if Jesus broke the law by investing blood He broke the law and cannot be the perfect lamb.
Now, do you believe Jesus ate His own flesh and drank His own blood or not?
investing = ingesting
Where do you invest blood, at a blood bank?
Define ‘flesh and blood’ as there used — or as intended in that context in which it arose.
Why am I not surprised that you ignored the correction in the next post?
