That’s the part that has always confused me. As Christians, we are told that our sins are forgiven and that love keeps no record of wrongs.

Judgment occurred on a cross some 2000 years ago. To be fair to our Catholic friends, they are told, being mere mortals, they can’t interpret scripture. That being the case they would be ignorant of such bible teachings unless found in their catechism or Sunday morning homily. If you have no ability to interpret what the bible is saying to you why read it and get confused?
