....”Christ does not return to leave but to stay and reign”...

read the scriptures given...in context...before and after that given.

He returns in the clouds first..... before his feet stand on earth to reign later on. Of course you’re free to ignore this but that will not change what’s written.

And you, too, are free to interpret as you see fit.

He keep a record of our wrongs, especially when we are told our wrongs (i.e., sins) are forgiven and thrown away as far as the east is from the west.

From what I've read, all is recorded in The Akashic Records or "The Book of Life". Your time here and what you've done or not done isn't forgotten, it's recorded.

However, the good news is, if you've confessed sin with heart and sought forgiveness with heart, that sin is forgiven. Is it accurate to say that the judgement for that sin is forgotten as the stain of that sin is cleansed and washed away from your soul by the Blood of Christ and His Sacrifice?

We are instructed to then go and sin no more, but does that mean you've now been given a free pass to do whatever sin comes to mind from then on or will you be judged for that new sin same as before? Does your re-birth raise the bar for new sins to a Higher standard?

What if we then slip up and fall from Grace, even temporarily, in the heat of the moment? Sin or maybe not? Do you get a Mulligan?

My personal Holy Fear is the realization that I've not freed myself from the struggles of my "self" and the world, nor from my passions for its many attractions, and have been in constant violation of the "go and sin no more" clause.

I tell my self I'm not "as bad" as I used to be, which is true, I'm a "work in progress" (all work, but not much progress), but there ain't no foolin' The Judge.

That's how a loving Father is with His children during their childhood. Learning can be a struggle and sometimes it takes a few "mistakes" to learn a lesson, but those don't end Father's Infinite Love for His children.

Wasn't the prodigal son welcomed home by everyone but the jealous brother.

The Earth can be a tough school to graduate from. It's better to be a student like Abel rather than Cain or Esau whenever possible and always get as much one on one tutoring as the Professor will give you.

Yes the reign of Christ is a physical 1000 yr reign on earth. Don’t know what is meant by “sweet by and by”. However even as I am an historic pre-millennial I have read dispensationalist theologians none of which are named Darby. If you want to cut through the internet nonsense out there on rapture and end times theories I suggest theological tomes from Walvoord, Ironside and Ryrie. In fact there is an entire series of articles by Walvoord on this forum which is posted each Sunday afternoon. You may want to start there if interested in doing so.

Would I be correct in saying your beliefs on eschatology stem from the Shepherds Chapel? The diction seems familiar.

Shepherd’s Chapel, not at all. Just an old time Methodist preacher.

Oh, you won’t have to ask your Counselor to handle this one - He will and has already stepped in and said “I got this one - I already paid for it”.

Thanks for the "shout out".

No doubt about it.

FWIW, Premillennialism was the dominant view of Christianity until the late 200's. It was only after the rise of figurative/allegorical interpretation that a different view emerged. Reading Scripture with a literal first understanding makes so much more sense, than trying to force a doctrine into passages that clearly say something else.

If there really is an interest in studying the basis of Premillennialism all the articles that have been posted can be found by entering a search for: Millennial Series.
