Peter was not given a feminine name. Jesus called him Petros which is male. Jesus said the "church" would be built on petra which is feminine. It's very odd that Catholics would try to make Peter feminine by claiming it is he who the "church" is built on.
No part of God’s word was originally written in any language but Hebrew (Daniel ch 4 excepted).
The Greek MS themselves prove that they are clumsy translations.
Proof of this fact has been posted here many times.
That's correct. That is why *Petros* is Peter's name, and *petra* is the rock on which the church is being built, and Paul in 1 Corinthians, clearly identifies *petra* as Jesus Christ. This link takes you to the Greek.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.
