You cannot understand scriptures or the truth apart from God’s spirit enabling you.....it is His work...not ours.
Jesus said.....“When the Helper comes,.... whom ‘I’ will send to you from the Father, ....that is ‘the Spirit of truth’ ....who proceeds from the Father,.... He will testify about ME.”....John 15:26...........”But a natural man does not ‘accept’ the things of the Spirit of God,... for they are foolishness to him;... and ‘he cannot understand’ them, because they are spiritually discerned”.....I Cor:2:14

The Assumption of Mary was condemned by two popes early on in church history and now it’s evolved into a doctrine that must be believed.
How did that happen I wonder?
Were the first popes wrong after all?
Or are the later popes wrong and heretical?
