May the breath of God, be upon her
God Bless your family, but you know your Mom is at peace, and that means SO much!
Im so sorry. Prayers for you and your family.
Thank you, wonderful Freepers! Your love and support has helped to lighten our heavy load this week.
After an uplifting service, filled with healing and hope, we laid Mom to rest today, next to my Dad. Lots of tears along with lots of smiles.
Friends arrived from all over, as well as relatives. Her granddaughter flew in from Missouri. A niece flew in from Denver. Her grandson flew in from Belgium. It wasn’t a full house, but it was full enough.
We got the band back together. “The Johnson Cousins” played and sang an impromptu “How Great Thou Art” after one quick rehearsal. We pulled it off, with my cousin playing his guitar while my brother-in-law battled a poorly tuned piano. Nobody noticed, but if they did, they didn’t seem to care.
We were truly blessed today.
I’ve shared the link to this thread in e-mails to friends and family who have never heard of Free Republic. The subject line was “These Are The People I Hang With” The responses were mostly... “never knew a place like this existed!”.
Well, they do now.
Another FReepathon is right around the corner. This one big. Real big. Midterm elections that will shape America in the very near future are not that far away. It is imperative that FR is fully funded, as soon as possible for the coming quarter. We need to have our financial obligations met early, in order to focus and fight to win back the Senate and retain the House, looking forward to regaining the White House in 2016.
Please support Free Republic, like dead Chicago voters, early and often. We need your help.
I will be using this thread during the coming ‘thon to remind folks just how great this place is and why we exist.
God Bless. I’ve had a long day and I’m going to say goodnight and talk to you all soon.
Prayers up. God bless.
God bless and keep you, dearest ButThreeLeftsDo as God holds dear your sweet Mom.
I’m glad you shared the link to this thread with some of yours relatives and friends, so that they could see how loved you are.
