Esau (pronounced Esov, with a short e and a short o) married the daughter of Ishmael, two Hittites, and more likely begat Rome. Ishmael’s mother was a descendant of Ham, by the way (Egypt) and was not semitic (i.e., not descended from Shem). And most of the world by far is not truly Monotheistic.
I agree that mot of the world is not monotheistic, however, currently nominal monotheism encompasses almost half of the world. As for ESOV, Genesis 36 ,akes plain ehrtr his descendents settled. The Rabbis likes to say He was Rome, because of the red color of the legionaries, (Esau means “Red”) but The Bible doesn’t lead one to believe so.
