You simply do not understand that Jesus was speaking in figurative language. The disciples chosen as his special students certainly did. They knew they didn’t actually have to bite off, say, a finger, swallow it, and lick up the gushimg blood. Don’t make yourself a silly spectacle over the obvious contradiction if He meant His symbolism to be taken literally, immediately.
