Like God is going to condemn a 10 year old to hell for eating because she is hungry.

The Catholic church is unforgiving and stern and has presented a lopsided view of God to the world as being unloving, intolerant, capricious, quick to judge and condemn, instead of loving, merciful, drawing us to Himself, ready and WILLING to forgive.

It took a long time after I was saved to get rid of thinking of God as capricious, stern, condemning and keeping a list of all my sins ready to throw it on the scales at my final judgment. To know Him as my loving Father, slow to anger, abundant in mercy, whose love is past finding out, is a true blessing and I praise Him every day for His grace and saving my soul.

The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him." (Lamentation 3:23-24)
