Luther was a Catholic. He pointed out some of the errors but retained most. True followers of Christ see Luther for what he was and hold him in no regard whatsoever.
Luther did the best he could under the circumstances.
What he did was so revolutionary compared to where he started.
But he started it and that is the important thing.
That's exactly right....also we consider the era those people were in...any true Christian were fortunate to come out of it all alive....
Luther's an interesting study though.....even if he got things wrong from being too close to the catholic church in the first place, just shows again how deeply embedded false teaching can go when you put 'your trust' in men rather than HE who knows the hearts and minds of all men..
