Numbers only count when it’s the numbers game. Not surprising in the least.

Of that 1.2 billion strong that they like to brag on, they’re still counting me because I never officially left the RCC and asked to be taken off the membership rolls.

And I don’t know of ANYONE who has ever done that. And there are non-Catholic churches chock-a-block full of people who were baptized and raised Catholic and left the RCC.

So the number is actually a false representation of the actual numbers of people who at least even consider themselves Catholic, much less those who are actual practicing Catholics instead of cultural Catholics.

Likely so, but it is like relegating all liberal RCs to be CINO as needed, then asserting you are still Catholic due to the "indelible" mark her sprinkling left on your soul as an infant.
