Pope Francis, "If Mary is not your Mother, you are an orphan!"
Charisma News ^ | 9/5/2014 | Jennifer LeClaire

Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.

But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:

"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.

As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...

....” It certainly doesn’t seem to be Christ-like”......

Peter said to Jesus,.....”Lord, and what about this man?”

Jesus said to him,.....”What is that to you?...YOU follow ME!”

(John 21:22)

It’s entirely possible there’s no basis for claiming a Babylonian source for Roman Christianity.

No, that really isn't possible.

Pascha is the Italian, French, Spanish word for Easter. It doesn’t have to do with Astarte, Isis, etc.

It certainly has nothing to do with Passover, for which it is named. Sit in at a Messianic seder sometime and note how foreign it feels.

And just because it may be called pascha, that does not change one bit the way it is celebrated, which as Cynical Bear has stated, derives from Paganism, without a doubt.

It has to do with Passover and the events leading up to and including Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

No, PASSOVER and FIRST FRUITS has to do with all of that. As I said, attend a Messianic seder some time, and be astonished.

By the way, isn’t there a book of ROMANS in the bible? They were on 7 hills, then, just as now. What in the world was Paul thinking....building up the whore of Babylon? /sarc

All the better to 'come out of her my people'...

Grave lootings have proven to be very profitable, since display of catholic “holy relics” always brings in thousands of people from the catholic faith and gazillions in cash.

To examine old decayed corpses have always been risky business for the employees of the Vatican so they protect themselves from potential disease and other unknown possible contamination .....yet these corpses and body parts, which will be removed and exhibited.... are then proclaimed "Holy" ????

Jesus said..."Let the dead BURY the dead!"...

The former Pope praying beside the remains of Pope Celestino....he looks more like he has seen a ghost...rather than experiencing "the joy of the Lord!"....

Sometimes, when I'm at a funeral viewing, it's hard to think of exactly the right words to say.

"He looks so much like himself..."

"That's exactly how I remember him..."

"He's not there..."

"He looks the same as the last time I saw him..."

None of these seem appropriate.

Regarding the one with the Pope "praying"-- I think he's saying something like "THIS is a little uncomfortable... was HE ever kneeling here?!"

Papua New Guinea Tribes "venerate" their dead similar to that of catholics....only they cure/smoke them and display them above their village so the people can "venerate" them there...rather than build glass cabinets for them or hang them in churches

.....Here they're priest/type workers are preparing this corpse similar as the vatican workers prepare their corpses, to be put into position and displayed as seen below this photo...

They remove body parts as well....the soles of the feet, palms of the hands and tongue are sliced off and presented to the surviving spouse... and then what's left of the body is smoke cured over a fire pit, but not before sprucing them up before .. robing/coating them in clay and ochre............ The most-respected warriors are placed on 'special' lookout points on the cliffs, watching out for invaders....rather like catholics believe the spirits of the departed watch over them....

This man is honoring his dead by visiting, though he doesn't appear to have his head bowed, nor hands folded , nor on bended knee before this corpse.

Oh I forgot to include.....These preserved corpses are also brought down for special events and celebrations...rather like catholics move their corpses and body parts from church to church for their celebrations.

Amen, antceecee. Earlier in this thread someone said the Church was evil and satanic.

Seriously?

Hitler was evil and satanic, killing millions of Jews.

Stalin was evil and satanic, starving millions of his countrymen.

Pol Pot was evil and satanic, murdering over 2 million people.

The Catholic Church is neither evil nor satanic, and anyone who claims it to be so is quite deluded and possibly demented.

And then people KISS them? And the Catholic church LETS them kiss them?

What about protecting EVERYONE from possible contagions and disease?

GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!

>>The Catholic Church is neither evil nor satanic<<

When scripture is twisted, changed, paganism included, and added to it is indeed evil and Satanic.

“It’s not about religion......it’s about truth and falsehood, deception and error by false teachers who abuse Christianity and try to re-construt it to be something it is not.....that is counterfeit Christianity.”

That’s an example of the hubris I’m talking about. How do you dare to presume what Christianity is? Maybe in your opinion it is wrong, but in the eyes of more than a billion people, it is the one true faith started over 2000 years ago by Our Lord himself.

And I certainly hope you spend just as much time haranguing adherents of other faiths....such as Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and Hindus....as you do on here with Catholics.

If your intent was to save souls, that is.

Catholic church has actually “condemned” what these tribes are doing though not really any different then what catholics do......guess it’s not “dazzling” enough....but the tribes continue with these rituals and preserving their corpses just the same today.

So, you’re suggesting he doesn’t have a clue why there’s a sunrise (sonrise) service on Easter morning?

You know better.
