Actually that question was originally put to you since you condemned me to destruction earlier in this thread because you personally disagreed with my views. Apparently my faith in Christ wasn't sufficient to overcome your condemnation.
Why is my faith in Christ not sufficient to save me from destruction and eternal damnation in your eyes?
You mean your hatred of Protestants?
Mlizzy remember only empty religions have empty crosses.
The cross and the tomb are empty. He’s seated at the Right Hand of THE FATHER.
There’s no mention John’s vision of the throne room of any female deity being in close proximity to Jesus or the throne.
So where is your “blessed queen?” If she is Heaven’s matriarch why didn’t John mention her when he recorded his glimpse of the future?
Pagan religions demand goddess worship.
Me? It’s the Catholic Church that says they incorporate paganism. BTW when you mention someone a ping to that person.
Why is my faith in Christ not sufficient to save me from destruction and eternal damnation in your eyes?
You don’t place your faith in Christ alone. Why do you insist on worshipping a “co-redemtrix?” Isn’t Christ alone sufficient?
You mean like Catholics need Mary to tell Jesus what to do?
I believe Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. So are you now telling me that those eights words are not sufficient for my eternal salvation? That all of a sudden there are "degrees" of faith and external and artificial requirements such as adding the word "alone" at the end of it are required. All of a suddent my faith in Christ is not sufficient?
841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”
Catholic practice of incorporating paganism is a violation of God’s commands.
We walk by faith and not by sight and we worship in spirit and in truth.
It’s a shame that some people’s faith is so weak that they have to have stuff to see and touch and taste and eat to feel like they’re close to God.
YHWH says to be satisfied when he admonishes you - for only the orphan on the street doesn’t get punished. So that I have been taken to the woodshed a time or two belies the title of your OP.
I am no orphan.
I got the fractal one! You haven’t done good until you get the fractal.
Have you placed your faith in Christ alone or do you need another being to intercede for you? Consider your answer carefully...
The bottom line is -
Is Jesus alone sufficient?
If the answer is yes than the next logical question is -
Do you avail to any being outside Jesus for your salvation or redemption?
I got the fractal one! You havent done good until you get the fractal.
I want a bear on a unicycle. Is that really too much to ask for?
That makes it a religion based on a cracker surrounded by a pagan sunburst.
Cut-n-paste excerpts are not the whole story. As you have been shown again and again.
The Church and non-Christians
839 “Those who have not yet received the Gospel are related to the People of God in various ways.”325
The relationship of the Church with the Jewish People. When she delves into her own mystery, the Church, the People of God in the New Covenant, discovers her link with the Jewish People,326 “the first to hear the Word of God.”327 The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God’s revelation in the Old Covenant. To the Jews “belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ”,328 “for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.”329
840 And when one considers the future, God’s People of the Old Covenant and the new People of God tend towards similar goals: expectation of the coming (or the return) of the Messiah. But one awaits the return of the Messiah who died and rose from the dead and is recognized as Lord and Son of God; the other awaits the coming of a Messiah, whose features remain hidden till the end of time; and the latter waiting is accompanied by the drama of not knowing or of misunderstanding Christ Jesus.
841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”330
842 The Church’s bond with non-Christian religions is in the first place the common origin and end of the human race:
As you see it. Good luck with your interpretation.
Jesus: I make all things new.
Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God:
That really must tax your patience.
Go make a pilgrimage somewhere and kiss a dessicated skull. Then place a crown of flowers on a cold, dead, stone idol.
You'll “feel” better.
Shouldn’t this earn the “yopios” picture? I’m still waiting form my bear on a unicycle!
