Then why do Catholics comment on non-Catholic issues and churches?

I don't know. We are not some monolithic bloc. We're individuals with distinct charisms. For myself I only comment when the spirit moves me to do so. But I would say that non-Catholic issues/churches are inherently Catholic since their purpose of existence is to be in opposition to the Catholic Church. Ultimately there is no Protestantism without the Church.

I’m not avoiding anything. My church did not make blanket statements about adoring the same God together with the muzzies and make it official doctrine

With all due respect that is because your church is not empowered with the authority to make any doctrinal pronouncements. So it's probably for the better that they do not.

I also notice that you did not answer the questions about a Catholic’s obligation to adhere to the official positions and teachings of the Catholic church.

You answer my question about whether Jews worship the same God and I'll be happy to talk at length about the Catholic obligation to give religious assent, assent of faith to ordinary and universal magisterial teaching, etc. You don't get something for nothing.

Since when?

Whatever happened to *unity within Catholicism*?

Whatever happened to *one central authority*?

Whatever happened to *You must follow the church's teachings?*

Which reminds me. You never did answer the questions about muslims and whether you are free to disagree with the CCC or not and what the consequences of not agreeing are.

Wanna try again?

OK, so here we have the admission that the Catholic church HAS made this comment about worshiping together with muslims the same God a doctrinal pronouncement. It is the official position of the Catholic church that y'all and muslims worship the same God together.

Are you not bound to agree with that?

Typical Catholic deflection. Answer a question with a question and then refuse to answer until you've been answered.

I've been down that road before lots of times and the purpose has always been to deflect and avoid answering the incriminating question that was asked the Catholic.

You go first because I asked first.

Don't think that other can't see what's going on here, because even when non-Cathlics answer the Catholics return question, the original question NEVER gets answered. Ever.

The discussion gets taken off track the the original question is left hanging.
