I got the book...But I didn't write it...
By your lights, from St. Augustine to St. Thomas Aquinas (after whom colleges and universities have been named all over the world) to Benedict XVI (referred to as the theological Einstein of our times) and to all the leading Protestant/Anglican/Episcopal/Lutheran scholars from Richard Neuhaus to Swedens leading Protestant theologian, prominent Christian leader Ulf Ekman to Dr Anders ( see. Dr. Anders Website www.calvin2catholic.com) to Cardinal Newman are ALL mistaken.
Like I said, they know about the bible but they don't know the bible, because they don't believe it...From what I see, you can't believe the bible and be a Catholic...
If you don't believe Genesis, this verse makes no sense...
2Pe_3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
And then you are lost when it comes to Revelation and half of the Old Testament...
I wouldn't waste 10 minutes with your biblical Einsteins when I can listen to people like the late J. Vernon McGee; people who actually know the bible...
Your people have built a religion and have to try to make the bible somehow line up with it...And they fail miserably...
Oh, so these pre-eminent theologians from both sides “don’t know the Bible” but you know it all. It’s now a familiar tactic of yours to go into your bank of disparate and out of context quotes, give it your “own” interpretation, and voila, there you have it. Al Sharpton; Joel Osteen, Billy Graham, Jeremiah Wright, Jim Jones and David Koresh and the rest of the street preachers did exactly that as well. Each believing they “knew” how to interpret the Bible.
