I notice pride appears as many catholics on this thread are "clamoring" to the defense of Mary.
Having spent years studying various denominations, including much time on Catholicism and the veneration of Mary, I'm astounded but not surprised in the least.
It looks like Mary is the center of their belief system.
Nice pictures you posted btw.
All those people clustered around the statues and apparitions, looking at Mary, bowing down to her, leaving her little trinkets.
Consumed with their attraction to her.
I can just imagine Jesus around the corner or standing in a doorway quietly saying "Here I am. Do you have a minute for Me?
....” many catholics on this thread are “clamoring” to the defense of Mary”.....
Of course they would..indoctrination is very deep to retain Mary as central to their faith...in their eyes without mary there would be no Jesus....so she remains their focus rather than the centrality of Jesus Christ in their faith.
It’s easy to say this as I’ve never seen a defense of Christ, by catholics, even remotely close to that of their mary idol.
Mary, the humble servant, would be appalled and in tears crying out the words of her Son, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
