But; He did NOT say (AFAIK) for them to 'teach' what He had NOT said!

Certainly each protestant understands some parts of Scripture, if only because someone has explained it—just as we Catholics benefit from the explanations of those smarter and holier than we.

You appear to have been well taught; underling!

To pretend that He wanted the many division among the Protestants is to again ignore His Holy Writ.

To claim that ONLY the Catholics have the 'key' to ANYTHING Scripture is quite Phariseeical!

A case of missing the forest for the trees.

Let's try some easy math:

There are approximately 1.2 billion Catholics world wide;

If merely 1% of them  'ask' Mary for help just once each day;

that means that 12 million separate prayers are headed Mary's direction every day.

Given that there are 86,400 seconds per day... (24 hours times 60 minutes times 60 seconds)

...that means that Mary has to handle approximately 139 'requests' per second!

Purty good fer someone NOT 'devine'!

So you don’t trust what His early disciples taught. Apparently you were there to know to know that they taught what He did not say. He gave them His authority. Surely, these chose the very books of the Bible you quote, and if you trust their authority on this, why doubt their authority on other matters?

This is how people like you and Al Sharpton get into trouble by citing Scripture with no clue of the expressions of that day and time. My, my… So all the theologians of the past several hundred years forgot to see that line.

Again, I agree with you, boatbums. Discussing differences in a spirit of Love is quite different from bashing each other over the head with a type of “fraternal correction” that I honestly don’t think the Lord intends. If what we share is not in the Spirit, it can harden the will of the other person, and it can damage our own souls...in that it may come from our own places of inner vanity. I recently discovered a quote from St. John Cantius that strikes me as very true: “Fight all error, but do it with good humour, patience, kindness, and Love. Harshness will damage your own Soul and spoil the best cause.” Thus, I am learning to put my total TRUST in Jesus and ask Him to make up for what I have lost in such ways.
