If we are worshiping Him to make ourselves happy, we’re doing it for the wrong reasons.

We worship Him because He alone is worthy of being worshiped.

A side benefit of that is that it does bring the Christian joy, but that’s not the reason to worship Him. It’s His due because of who He IS and what he’s done.

I would disagree. It is not a side benefit. God wants us to worship Him BECAUSE it benefits us.

Rom_8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

This includes worship.

Heb 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

We are stirred up to love and good works and encouraged by worship. It is for our benefit.
