Well, then, while I share your misgivings, it remains possible that through the Grace of God some person might discern the truth of the matter. Besides, the guy sounds like an idiot. He might very well be too dim to attempt such a stratagem. Is Jesus powerless to extricate Himself from the consecrated host in the case of evil intent? Is he trapped in there subject to whatever humiliation they had planned for Him? Think this through.
