I’ve thought sometimes that God might show us all the “what ifs” when we get to heaven. He knew all things before He even created the first thing and He also is able to “make all things work together for good” for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. I think it would be amazing to be able to look back on our lives and see the way the path would go had we chosen differently than we did. I have no Scriptural reference for this, but I know that nothing is impossible for God.

RE: I’ve thought sometimes that God might show us all the “what ifs” when we get to heaven.

There is a branch of Christian Theology called Molinism, named after the one who popularized it — Luis De Molina.

He was a 16th Century Jesuit theologian.

Molinism is a religious doctrine which attempts to reconcile the providence and sovereignty of God with human free will.

William Lane Craig and Alvin Plantinga are some of its best known advocates today, though other important Molinists include Alfred Freddoso and Thomas Flint. In basic terms, Molinists hold that in addition to knowing everything that does or will happen, God also knows what His creatures would freely choose IF placed in ANY circumstance.

This part of God’s omniscience is called MIDDLE KNOWLEDGE.
