Chapter 20 shows it to those that read beyond verse 5, and understand what they read.
Rev.20
[1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
[3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
[4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
[5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished (thus having no part in the first resurrection at the beginning of the thousand years). This is the first resurrection.
[6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
[7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
[9] And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
[10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
[11] And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
[12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God (obviously those that were raised at the first resurrection, the "blessed," are not among these dead); and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
[13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
[14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
[15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Is God's word a "dance move?"
.
Not sure of the value of continuing to whip this dead amillennial horse.
Those that resist his word will continue to do so, as they have in the past. As John 6 says, no man can come unto the Son except the Father draw him.
.
When does the second take place again?
Well there are many more articles in the series which continue to show the amil approach as either inconsistent or incompatible. Stay tuned.
If you haven't seen the previous articles you can do a keyword search Millennial Series and I believe the 10 parts I've posted so far should be there.
The total series is 23 parts.
“Hope to see you all there”
gee, I am hurt that I wasn’t included in this kum ba yah post inviting everyone over to part 10 of this series.
I am starting to believe that someone doesn’t appreciate having the historical, orthodox Christian position stated and that the 19th century dispensational invention can’t stand up to the light of day.
I will continue to ask questions and continue to point out the utter nonsense of dispensationalism.
kum ba yah.
Go back and read the 20 or so posts that tell you when it happens, or read Revelation 20.
This is not the short bus religion forum, so it may leave some with their heads spinning.
.
20 posts CLAIMS that It happens, but the EVIDENCE is mere speculation.
I’m sayin’...
The King has no clothes!
They are two separate resurrections, exactly as Revelation 20 says they are.
You keep using an explanatory statement that separates the two groups to try to join them, but the chapter clearly says that the events are separated by 1000 years.
The evidence is the posted scriptures; the ones you and Satan reject.
HMMMmmm...
1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a[a] thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[b] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,[c] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.[d] 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
LC, please put on your thinking cap!
All the information needed to solve the equation is right there in that chapter.
If there were not more than one resurrection, why did John write “This is the First Resurrection?”
If it was all there was, would he not have written “This is the resurrection” or something similar?
.
P.S. If you haven’t figured it out yet, verse 11 is the resurrection of those that “lived not again until the 1000 years are finished.”

Beats me.
My ex-pastor used to introduce his lifelong mate as his FIRST wife.
Sounds like something coming from a strange mind-set... anything to do with him being the ex-pastor?
In the words of Eliza Doolittle: Show Me!
I knew you had nothing real to contribute but confusion.
Time to go back to your graphic noise.

First Resurrection.
