When?
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
He was kind enough to write them in Leviticus, and Deuteronomy.
The ‘splanin will be why you had no love nor respect for his loving Torah, nor willingness to read his word carefully to perceive its true meaning, rather than dismissing it as gibberish.
Lord was not the word.
He came as a suffering servant, and Messiach.
When he returns, he will ascend to the throne of David, which is an Earthly office.
>> “When?” <<
Fifteen days after the last trump, which ends the Tribulation of the Saints, at Succot, is when the millennial reign begins.
The passage you posted from chapter 21 is after the end of the millennial reign, after the Earth and the universe has burned up with a loud noise. Then we will be tabernacling with the Father, in the place he prepared for us.
.
>> “Then just WHY is the BoL needed?” <<
.
For those that were born during the Millennial Reign.
They didn’t have the benefit of the resurrection unto life, 1000 years before, and they must be judged according to their works, and according to the Book of Life.
You should be thankful that we have a just God, that makes no arbitrary nor capricious judgments.
.
.
This clip of the word is deception!
The word does not say that “the rest of the dead” had any part in the first resurrection, it says that they lived not again until the thousand years are finished, when, if they then lived again, as the word clearly indicates they do, they obviously have been resurrected to the judgment at a second resurrection.
Why is that so hard for you to grasp?
John 5:
[28] Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
[29] And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Yeshua mentions two resurrections here, and we know that "the rest of the dead lived not again until the 1000 years are finished" so obviously the second resurrection is 1000 years after the first.
.
I should have pinged you also to #528.
>> “Certainly no one who is reigning with Christ is going to have to go thru an additional judgment and fear the 2nd death and life in outer darkness.” <<
.
One that has a reasonable level of reading comprehension would think...
.
Oh?
I've not seen my name on that contract: the one delivered to the JEWS.
I'm still waiting being shown the SECOND resurrection.
Why do I keep getting all these dance moves in stead?
Everyone is going to be judged by their works; not for SALVATION; but for rewards.
AND must mean something different in your dictionary.
WHAT 'additional' judgment?
What does ALL mean to you?
The good thing is this series has over 22 parts. Plenty more opportunities to converse on the subject. I’m moving on to part 10 thread before wmfights posts part 11:)
Hope to see you all there.
BTW it may be a good idea for us to read the parts of the series we missed and read the posted pieces. After going through them it is quite clear a good sum of our comments are addressed by Walvoord. Yes I confess I did not do my homework first but now I have.
I have to admit not reading the posted article is a common transgression on FR. Most just read and editorialize on the title of the article.
All means that every person ever born on Earth will either be in the first resurrection, or the second. No One is left out.
>> “I’ve not seen my name on that contract: the one delivered to the JEWS.” <<
.
But it was not given to the Jews, it was given to the Hebrews, and those that sojourn with them. That means all of his Elect.
If Torah was not given for you, then you are not one of his elect.
That might explain your strenuous resistance to his word, huh?
.
>> “WHAT ‘additional’ judgment?” <<
.
Judgment beyond that which determined that they had the “garment” when they were resurrected at the 7th trump.
“The rest of the dead” were not so entitled and lived not again until the thousand years which commenced at the wedding feast was finished, and were subject to the “resurrection unto death.”
There will be no “rewards” doled out at that resurrection.
