The apostle John was given several visions which constitute the Revelation. In the vision of Revelation 12, we are given a Divine perspective of the mystery of anti-Semitism. This is the Divine answer to the real historical events of Genesis 3.
Israel is a woman, clothed with the Sun, standing on the Moon and crowned with 12 stars. She is in agony of child-birth, for she has been chosen by God to bring into the earth the man-child, that is, the Messiah.
Satan is a Dragon. Originally, in Genesis Satan was a serpent, but by the time of this vision, He has become a Dragon, invested with all worldly power(Political, juridical, Military, economic…). These are the Heads, Horns and crowns of the Dragon.
The Dragon seeks to thwart the birth of the man-child, (Who is the “seed of the woman”). Furthermore the Dragon could not prevent the completion of mission of the man-child..
The Man-Child is born, accomplishes His mission and is ascended to Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Most High God. The Dragon has been proven to be impotent, he cannot prevent the man-child from accomplishing the salvation of the world, even though virtually all worldly power has been handed over to him.
But since he cannot get at the man-child, the Dragon turns on the woman and her seed, as Genesis predicted He would.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.(Genesis 3:15)
Who are the “seed of the Woman”? The Prophecy in Genesis 3 indicates a two-fold answer to this question; The ‘seed of the woman’ who would eventually crush the serpent’s head, but at cost to himself, is none other than the Messiah, the Lord Jesus. By his death on the cross,
… he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.(Hebrews 2:14-15)
The same scripture also indicates a corporate “Seed”, which would ever be at enmity with a corporate “seed of the serpent”. Jesus and John the Baptist, for example warned the God defying “brood of vipers” of the coming wrath, calling upon them to repent.
Who are these “Seed of the woman” and “seed of the serpent”? Are they of a natural or are they of a spiritual affinity ? In the case of the woman, the natural seed of the woman are the Jewish people, chosen by God to be witnesses to the world.
Spiritually, the seed of the woman are all of those down through time who would stand with Adam and Eve on the ground of the promise, and who would patiently wait for the Lord to descend from heaven to save them and to undo the work of the serpent. They admit that they are helpless sinners in need of a God sent saviour.
They are those who humbly acknowledge that sin requires death, and yet they rely on the God appointed substitute. The seeds of the woman are pilgrims, who will have to endure persecution in view of the eternal prize, all the while expecting the final triumph of the Redeemer.
In other words, the seed of the woman are Jews and True Christians. The Dragon and his seed utterly hate real Christians and Jews.
The seeds of the serpent refuse to acknowledge God, nor thank Him, much less admit their own helpless condition, nor the need to be saved by the God appointed substitute, Jesus Christ. Proudly they deny the need for salvation.
They always take the side of the serpent in the issues of their day, whether they actually believe in the Devil or not. Jesus rebuked Peter , saying he was like Satan, because he “savored the things which be of men and not of God”. Satan is a humanist, not a satanist, he savours the things that “be of men”, ie human autonomy, pride, independence from God.
The seed of the serpent alternate between the denial of God’s existence, or complaint about the concept of a “merciful God” in view of the perceived injustice of the world. They don’t hesitate to defy God’s revealed will, for they allow themselves no reverence for him.
They actually believe the serpent’s lie, considering themselves, or man in general to be “as gods”, able to define for himself right and wrong, good or evil, beauty and meaning, with no reference to the real God.
These are the God resisting “brood of vipers” that John the baptist railed against, the children of their (true) father, the devil, and who never fail to take the stand of their father, against the Most High.
The world is rapidly being sharply polarized around two issues; the hatred and persecution of the Jews, and the hatred and persecution of Christians.
Who did the Ancient Romans refuse to tolerate, after they were thrown out of the Synagogues? The Christians. Who do Muslims hate and fear the most? Jews and Christians? WHo did the Roman Catholic Popes belittle, grind down and even exterminate at times? True Christians and Jews. When Atheists came to power in Europe through Fascism and in Russia through Marxism, and in China through Communism, who did they persecute with the most fervor? Christians and Jews.
Who is forbidden so much as a presence on the entire Arabian peninsula? Jews and any expression of the Body of the Messiah. Who is ISIS ruthlessly seeking to slaughter, rape and plunder now that there is enough tolerance of such savagery among the leaders of the West? Jews and Christians. This is the Dragon unleashed.
Do you think CNN, Fox news, MSNBC, ABC, The BBC, or any other western “news” outlet would give as much coverage of Muslim atrocities as they do feigned Jewish atrocities? Would the coverage be the same if ISIS were a group of misguided christian in name only neo crusaders? The Whole World Lies in The Power of the wicked One!
The Dragon has always hated the woman and her seed…“those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ”.
Get ready for an even greater “flood” to come out of the Dragon’s mouth. Words, propaganda, incitement to hatred and outrage is going to be leveled at Jews and Christians which would make Goebbels blush with pride and admiration.
Current events are revealing the true nature of everyone who is either a witness to them or is involved in them.
How could anyone stand up in defense of Islam, the religion of rape and murder, on display for all of the world to see? Yet millions do, demonstrating their moral blindness, deafness and inability to judge, as they take their stand with Islam, even in the face of blatant depravity, such as HAMAS hiding behind children, ambulances and hospitals, knowing the Jews to be too humane to knowingly destroy such things.
Yet millions around the World fill the streets of Paris, Berlin, Cairo, and other major cities, demonstrating against the Jewish state!
The Serpent is aroused, knowing his time is short, and he is wroth wroth the woman and her seed. So also are all of those under the thrall of the serpent, and on the way to a fiery judgment.

yet the Scriptures do speak of true Jews. do you know what makes someone a “true Jew”?

Satan very definitely makes war with the woman, and the remnant of her seed. My whole thesis is to give the Biblical explanation of anti-Semitism.
Satan doesn’t make war with those who reject Jesus Christ, a house divided against itself can not stand.
“Thy people”’ are those in Christ, not physical Jews. Satan is very pleased when someone rejects belief in Christ, no need to persecute such people.
Christ is coming back to save Israel as He promised He would. If Satan can destroy physical Israel before CHrist comes to save them, He could thwart God’s plan(I know He won’t be able to) but that is what is happening. God has a plan for Israel after the flesh...see Zechariah 12:9-10 and Romans 11
Israel is the Church. The Scriptures can not be clearer on this point and it has been the consistent teaching of the Church for 2,000 years. Yet, some still do not believe. The true Jew is one inwardly, not of the flesh.
If Israel is the church does that mean the Holy Land isgiven to the church?

And has the 'church', throughout history, kept the commandments of YHWH?

has the Church kept the commandments? absolutely YES!
But what are the commandments we are to keep? I suspect some would think the 10 commandments, but this would be a denial of Jesus Christ. Jesus kept the law PERFECTLY and fulfilled all its requirements. In doing so, the old covenant was completed and a new covenant was established with Israel, the new covenant sealed in His blood. since we are “in Christ”, we no longer are under the law and it’s requirements, which would include the 10 commandments.
so what commandments must the Church observe?
the answer is we follow the law of Christ. the law of Christ is best summarized in 1 John 3:19-24.

i feel sorry for those who believe the old covenant and it’s laws are still valid today. it is an insult to the blood of Christ, which seals the new covenant.
the lost will continue to try and keep the law ( including the Sabbath ) the body of Christ will follow the law of Christ.
