I dated a gal for a long time - she had 12 siblings. She and two of her sisters were born within two years! She said the same thing - she wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. The dad earned a good living and was able to afford all of the extra expenses. The kids that were still at home (8?) were all very nice and active and responsible.
We broke up for other reasons, but it did send a chill up my spine when she said that she would like to raise a large family as well!
I have twin sisters who are 13 months older than me. "Irish" triplets.
My son always tells his prospects that he wants a small family-only six kids. With his sibs well into double digits, he may have a skewed perception. :)
