While Philip Johnson is an outstanding author, I would have to disagree with his article on Hyper-Calvinists. First of all, in all my readings I have yet to find a true Calvinist who holds such views-including John Calvin. That isn't to say there aren't wackos out there with crazy views and theologies. But then we would be hard press not to find wackos in any group. It is akin of saying all Baptists must be defined by the Westboro Baptist Church or Catholics being defined by the SSPX.
Hyper-Calvinist is, for the most part, a made up term used solely to denigrate Reformers. And, yes, if God so desires to save the heathen in the White House, He will so do it-with or without our help.
