I agree with all you said. I must say that in all my years of Bible study, including learning about other religions and cults, this is the first time I've heard of the doctrine that those "born again/from above" aren't really until the general resurrection when the redeemed receive their glorified bodies (as long as they have "endured to the end"). Do you know which denomination teaches this or is this just the beliefs of a few?

>> "Do you know which denomination teaches this..." << . The Word of God! We are dealing with two separate concepts WRT "born again." Peter's, "ἀναγεννάω" (anagennaō) is not really a birth at all, but a change in state of mind, a regeneration, to follow Yeshua. Yeshua's, "γεννάω" (gennaō) is a literal birth of a new body, which was given in answer to Nicodemus' learned question: " How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" It was an honest request for understanding of a new concept. Yeshua was explaining physically entering the realm of the Father. Peter's "born again" can and must happen in this life, not in the future. It is the true beginning of our spiritual journey. Yeshua's "born again" is a literal birth of a "son of God," a being not of biological origin, but a unique special creation. This is what is meant by " becoming a son of God." The term "son of God" as used in the Bible WRT anyone but Yeshua means a creature not of biological origin, such as the Angels. WE must all become such a special creation to enter the realm of the Father. This happens at the First Resurrection, first the dead, and then the living. .
