it is merely a recitation of biblical text.....you do it by the pagefull and Catholics can't recite 2 sentences?????
Well, there's a major representation of what I said.
No wonder Catholics don't think anyone is capable of correctly interpreting Scripture. They can't even correctly read a simple statement without reading into it.
There's great value in memorizing and meditating on Scripture, and yes reciting it, speaking it out loud.
But there's a world of difference between that and making a statement that was part of a conversation a prayer, or considering it a prayer.
With that kind of reading comprehension, then it probably is better that most Catholics depend on someone else for correct interpretation.
