Bright colored blood is bleeding hemorrhoids. Almost the same thing happened to me and the bleeding was only hemorrhoids.

Bright red bleeding could also be (UC) ulcerative colitis which can be miserable but is treatable. The GI doc should be able to scope diagnose it in the office. Praying.

I thought I had hemorrhoids but after my colonoscopy I found out I had a Ileitis Inflammation of my lower colon.
It's very treatable but can be recurring.
