“The church is just the body of believers”

Christ started one church, the Catholic Church. A very visible church of believers. Nothing at all invisible about it. It was that way for 1,500 years until the heretic Martin Luther thought he knew more than God himself and he and his followers broke away from the Catholic Church. Protestantism is a false religion. Eternal salvation is through the Catholic Church they broke away from. I would suggest that if you care anything for your eternal salvation you return to the faith of your ancestors.

Eternal salvation is through the Catholic Church...

wow ...
can you please share that passage of scripture with a little one who is on the outside looking in?

I would certainly hate to mislead anyone in my travels.

Which is an utter lie, blasphemy and heresy. The Roman Church was for centuries the minor church in Christendom. Until the Holy Roman Empire came to be essentially the territory of Rome was essentially filled with pagans, and Rome itself of questionable although ambitious influence.

Even after the rise of Islam, Constantinople was the center of Christendom, and before Rome was a minor player in the Christian part of the world, surrounded by pagan barbarians, while the bulk of Christendom ran from Constantinople, to Antioch, to Alexandria. It was only after the fall of the Byzantines that the Roman Church gained dominance.

The Coptics, Syriacs, and Orthodox in addition to Protestants are not in communion with the Roman Catholic Church. Are they all heretics while the one branch is the true Church?
