I didn’t say he couldn’t do DAMAGE. I said he’s not a threat to authentic Catholic teaching. Of course, he can be responsible for a lot of people’s never hearing authentic Catholic teaching, or getting a totally false impression of Catholic teaching.

I don’t think he’s technically an anti-Pope. He’s just a product of a corrupt College of Cardinals that has a lot of stupid, wicked men in it: e.g., Wuerl, Dolan, O’Malley. I’m sure there are plenty of non-Americans as stupid and wicked as those.

A motor-mouthed extrovert, with a head stuffed with conventional center-left “thoughts.”

You don’t like the glad-handing, fake bonhomie Dolan? The guy I saw off-camera snapping his fingers at a Today Show flunky to bring him a coffee or a donut?

When I think of Cardinal O’Connor, I just get heartsick.

Is papal infallibility authentic Catholic teaching? If so, I would say he is definitely a genuine threat to authentic Catholic teaching (given that he is spouting wrongs, ex cathedra).
