well, as I’m coming to understand it, the Catholic Church recognizes your marriage, assuming you and your Protestant husband were married in a church of your denomination. What they don’t recognize is the marriage of a Catholic in another church, and they don’t recognize the divorce of anyone married in any church. I guess that’s fair as it relates to their own followers, and their right to administer their sacraments.
The RCC’s problem is that GOD is the one who ordains marriage.
The RCC adding its stamp of approval to something already recognized by God is meaningless.
It’s a “Me too,” kind of thing.
