Lots of judgment on this thread.
If the man gets people curious about Christ, isn’t that a positive?
Didn’t Jesus says whoever isn’t against us is for us? If he sends 90-95% of his revenue to help the poor and televise a positive Godly message, why are critics so mad?
Why do critics demand their way only?
Whose the perfect (human) preacher Osteen should copy?
How often does he ever mention Christ? I think they are curious about other things.
I haven’t heard that he sends anything to help the poor. and he is not going to televise anything about God. He is selling “a better you”, he is a self-help guru
Easy test for scammers. If they have greased back hair, they are a crook easy test and works every time.
The idea that any false preacher on TV is better than not is hideous. Did you think Tilton was a great guy too?
Agreed and Amen.
Personally, I think a positive Godly message includes clearly stating that Jesus is the only way to God and that homosexuality is a sin.
Osteen has had problems doing so-—and more than once.
If you can’t take a firm stand and agree with God’s word, ARE you for Him?
Also, as far as “judgment” goes, you should check out the Scriptures which instruct us to make righteous judgments.
What kind of Christian can’t distinguish between right and wrong?
Not if he is curious about the wrong Christ ... he will only be led astray.
If your message is "accept Jesus and enjoy your best life now" ... people will pursue the wrong Christ.
If the man gets people curious about Christ, isnt that a positive?
A counterfeit gospel is about as useful as a counterfeit currency.
And please stop using the word "judgmental". It's about as relevant as the race-card in a game of high stakes poker.
