Ping!
Nice knowing you, Pope. It was fun while it lasted.
Bad idea to announce the fact in my opinion. The Muslims want chaos in order to resurrect their 12th imam from Hell, and a war with Christians might be enough for that.
I hope that Papal tiara is made of Kevlar.
He’s kind of nuts IMO. And how can their Security Director permit that?
Well this surprises me.
But then again, got to remember that Israel has the best in regards to its military and security.
Nothing is going to happen. And if something does, they’ll elect a new pope, post haste.
33 years ago this month, The Pope was shot by a Muslim. Just sayin’ !
With the greatest of respect, this is foolish. There are thousands of satanic islamonazis over there who would love to get a good shot at the Pope. (Like remember how one almost did manage to murder JP2? They hate Christians and the Church....). Please, pope Francis, let your security people try to protect you.
Bad idea to announce the fact in my opinion. The Muslims want chaos in order to resurrect their 12th imam from Hell, and a war with Catholics might be enough for that.
I fixed it for you.
However, I think Christians would probably be helping the Catholics in a situation like this, and I think it’s unwise to advertise your security, or lack thereof.
I’d take the armored car myself. But I think the Israelis would be, putting it kindly, ungentle toward anyone who planned to harm Pope Francis, let alone attempted, let alone succeeded.
The Pope hasn’t worn the three-tiered tiara since Paul VI. The one he was crowned with in 1963 is in a glass case at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, in Washington, D.C.
I don’t think anyone will try to shoot the Pope. He is no threat to anyone but Catholics.
It’s always puzzled me how some people can claim others are not Christians when they call themselves that. Maybe some are better ones than others, but let God sort it out. It’s not for us to say.
Sounds like Benazhir Bhutto in Pakistan.
Said her people loved her.
Fine, but ISI didn’t.
Good one.
Yes it was, particularly for it being said on this forum. It might not be quite as funny anywhere else...
Yet the headline (which I *think* we have seen previous mention of the information therein? it rings a bell like that) still fills my heart with dread at the thought of it...
The martyr pope..?
If so...would that bring peace to some (by being integral to eventually bringing them to Christ)...for whom there is no other "way"? Must it be?
Ok, I'm getting ahead of things here. I cannot say the Lord has revealed anything to me concerning it (though of other deaths and occurrences He has at various times past) and I was just thinking upon how in today's world there are many being martyred for their faith (in Christ), killed for not much any other reason than they are identified by those around themselves as being "Christian".
This does appear to myself to becoming more "likely" as time marches on, as surely as it is being suffered by some, right now.
