I imagine that Screwtape must be guffawing with laughter and thinking, “educational purposes”, “different cultural practices” – we could hardly have done better ourselves or dreamed up a more effective way of leading young souls astray and showing contempt for our Enemy at the same time.

I find it interesting that the black mass uses a consecrated host (even though I heard this particular event isn't using it).

Seems to me either they do that just to tweak Catholics, making the cultural value dubious, or they actually believe that a consecrated host is something more than just an interestingly shaped bread, otherwise why bother including it.
