If they bomb the Iran nuclear sites, they might as well go for the gold. Things will be seriously messed up for a long time and as long as the bee hive is kicked might as well grab as much honey as you can.

Matthew 24:15 takes place during the Great Tribulation, which hasn’t started yet.

I listened to the video. Sounds like the guy is eating a sandwich. I mean, if this is breaking news don’t you think he’d at least swallow and maybe wash his mouth out first?

Having the Dome of the Rock on the same sacred ground of the Temple Mount that used to house the two previously built Temples (Solomon's, Herod's), the Beit HaMikdash, “The Sanctified House”, is an abomination unto itself. I believe there WILL be a third temple in the same re-sanctified site in Old Jerusalem. How the al-Aqsa mosque is removed, I don't know, but it certainly shouldn't be allowed to remain. Let the Muslims move it to Mecca.

>>>If they do, it will fulfill the Biblical prophecy found in Matthew 24:15 which read as follows<<<

>>>“”So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand–”<<<

>>>“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ [Anti-Christ] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place [Jewish Temple]…” <<<

>>>(In other words the Jewish Temple MUST be built for it to be desecrated.)<<<

The temple was standing when Jesus made the prophecy, and it was desecrated about 40 years later around 70 AD, both during the civil war by Jewish factions inside Jerusalem, and by the Roman armies outside the walls. Since the upcoming abomination of desolation had not occurred, Jesus was pointing the disciples to a similar desecration that occurred during the reign of Antiochus IV, which was prophesied in Daniel 11 and 12.

There is no evidence of a third temple in the old or new testaments.

From the article, my emphasis:

>>>A second school held that the Third Temple will be built not by man but by the Messiah and there was nothing to do but pray and wait. This school is based on Rashi and Tosephot who draw on the verse "The Sanctuary, O God, which your hands have established."<<<

The quote was from Exodus 15:17. A similar passage can be found in Zechariah:

"And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both." (Zec 6:12-13 KJV)

Note that he serves as a priest: not while inside any temple, but from his throne. Therefore, passage is not talking about a physical temple. Jesus explained the new covenant temple here:

"Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." (John 2:19 KJV)

Spouting that kind of "blasphemy," in part, cost both Jesus and Stephen their lives. This was Stephen:

"Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet," (Acts 7:48 KJV)

Paul wrote about the holy temple this way:

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." (1 Cor 3:16-17 KJV)

"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." (Eph 2:19-22 KJV)

New Jerusalem also has a temple made without hands:

"And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it." (Rev 21:22 KJV)
